Today, Huawei advanced the state of electric vehicle infrastructure, unveiling what it describes as the industry’s first fully liquid-cooled megawatt fast-charging solution at its “2025 Huawei Intelligent Electric & Intelligent Charging Network Launch Conference.”
Huawei 1.5 megawatt charging solution claims to charge a heavy truck up to 90% within 15 minutes. Meanwhile, reloading will be 4x higher than other charging piles. Speaking of efficiency, the new EV charger is 30% more efficient and costs 20% less in the operational segment compared to previous-gen charging solutions.
Huawei’s liquid-cooled 1.5 megawatt supercharger has a self-made SiC chip that has 3x more energy than outdated silicon-based devices. It adjusts the output power to avoid impacting the power grid. It can not only power up heavy trucks but also passenger cars and construction machinery.
