The results showed that commissioning the marine Diesel generators at high capacity instead of low capacity could meet the electrical energy demand on board with less fuel. When generators are run at 90% capacity instead of 40% capacity, the minimum savings in terms of fuel consumption, fuel cost, CO 2, and NO x emissions are around 7%.
