The task of the hybrid inverter can be to transfer electricity to devices from a photovoltaic generator, from the power grid or from an energy storage. In the event of higher output power from the generator, the inverter can transfer it to the receivers, to the grid, and load the storage as well at the same time.
The analysis showed that for the understated storage size, the payback period is about 20 years (including the replacement of the inverter and storage after 15 years), while the level of self-consumption is significantly decreased.
