Moreover, perovskites can be a potential material for the electrolytes to improve the stability of batteries. Additionally, with an aim towards a sustainable future, lead-free perovskites have also emerged as an important material for battery applications as seen above.
Wu et al. showed the possibility of double-perovskite materials in lithium storage by synthesizing all-inorganic double perovskite Cs 2 NaBiCl 6 as a new electrode material with a specific capacity of about 300 mA h g −1 and a coulombic efficiency of more than 99%.
The unique properties of perovskites to combine both solar-charging and energy storage in one material confirm the new application and development direction of solar batteries. Some research work should be further discussed.
